Stop Smoking Service

The Regional Pharmacy Stop Smoking Service is a service commissioned by the Strategic Planning and Performance Group (SPPG) and is free of charge for patients.

Smokers availing of the Stop Smoking Service are encouraged to visit their local pharmacy for advice and treatment.

The pharmacist will ask some questions. If appropriate we can offer a 12-week programme of advice and support, as well as the provision of Nicotine Replacement Therapy (for which there is no charge) - to help support your attempt to quit. This provides a saving of over £200 - the cost of purchasing 12 weeks supply of NRT patches.
