Pharmacy First: Emergency Hormonal Contraception

Pharmacy First is a service commissioned by the Strategic Planning and Performance Group (SPPG) and is free of charge for patients.

Within the Pharmacy First: Emergency Hormonal Contraception (EHC) service, women are encouraged to visit their local pharmacy first rather than their GP if they have a need for the morning after pill. This service is available up to 120 hours after unprotected sex.

Free, Confidential & Discreet

Following a private consultation the pharmacist will give advice and, if appropriate, supply medication free of charge, or refer the patient to the GP if necessary.
