Pharmacy First: Everyday Health Conditions

Pharmacy First is a service commissioned by the Strategic Planning and Performance Group (SPPG) and is free of charge for patients.

Within the Pharmacy First: Everyday Health Conditions Service, patients are encouraged to visit their local pharmacy first rather than their GP for common ailments.

FREE, DISCREET & CONFIDENTIAL

Following a private consultation the pharmacist will give advice and, if appropriate, supply medication free of charge, or refer the patient to the GP if necessary.

Conditions which are included in this service are:

acne vulgaris,
athlete's foot,
diarrhoea,
ear wax,
groin area infection,
haemorrhoids,
head lice,
mouth ulcers,
oral thrush,
scabies,
threadworms,
vaginal thrush,
verrucae
